Cheetah Video Converter is a powerful tool designed to handle high-resolution files. This guide will show you how to shrink file sizes and change formats while keeping your video sharp. Why Compress and Convert 4K Video? Save Space: 4K files quickly fill up hard drives. Boost Playback: Older devices struggle to play raw 4K. Easy Sharing: Smaller files upload faster to social media.

Compatibility: Not all editing software accepts every 4K format. Step 1: Import Your 4K Video Launch Cheetah Video Converter on your computer. Click the Add Files button in the top left corner. Select your heavy 4K video file from your local storage. Drag-and-drop works too for a faster workflow. Step 2: Choose Your Output Format Navigate to the Profile or Output Format dropdown menu. Select the Video tab to view available formats. Choose MP4 or MKV for the best balance of quality and size.

Select the HEVC (H.265) codec, which shrinks files better than standard H.264. Step 3: Adjust Settings for Compression Click the Settings gear icon next to your chosen format.

Locate the Resolution setting and keep it at 3840×2160 to retain 4K, or drop it to 1080p for maximum compression.

Lower the Bitrate slightly; choosing “Smart Fit” lets the software optimize this automatically.

Set the Frame Rate to match your original video (usually 24fps, 30fps, or 60fps). Step 4: Convert and Save

Go to the bottom of the interface to set your Destination Folder.

Turn on Hardware Acceleration if your computer has a dedicated graphics card. Click the large Convert button in the bottom right corner.
